River Highlands Campsite to Long Island Sound

Had a strong day of paddling starting at 5 am. Day was sunny and warm. First half of Day was smooth, then began feeling affects of tide changes and power boats. Long Island Sound was choppy with waves breaking over bow – my kayak was up to the task. Finished the journey in Old Saybrook – very jubilant! Lee was there to ferry me home. Thanks to all for your encouragement. Your good words and thoughts were inspiring!
